Is it hard to pass CIM? ›

Yes it can be hard to pass CIM qualifications, but with dedication to study, a good level of support and a clear understanding of the assessments, you can increase your chances significantly and passing your CIM qualification will become far more achievable.

For CIM, if you marginally fail a unit, there is an opportunity to resubmit this, but the grade will be capped at a 'pass'.

Find out more. Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing: The Postgraduate Diploma is a Level 7 two-stage advanced qualification which is the equivalent of a Master's degree.

CIM Foundation Certificate – Level 3 – Roughly the same difficulty as A Levels. CIM Certificate – Level 4 – Roughly the same difficulty as a foundation degree. CIM Diploma – Level 6 – Equivalent to an undergraduate degree. CIM Postgraduate Diploma – Level 7 – Equivalent to a Master's degree.

Each module has an individual credit value of 20 credits, with the programme representing 60 credits which can be used as Accredited Prior Learning (APL) towards other Level 7 qualifications such as a Master's programme.

Each module has been calculated as carrying 17 credits which equates to around approximately 170 hours Total Qualification Time per module.

To achieve the total qualification each individual module mark needs to be 50 marks or above. The calculation of the overall qualification grade will be carried out based on an aggregate score of 3 modules out of 300.

There are 5 Levels of CIM courses to choose from and each is aimed at a specific marketing professional in terms of experience and previous marketing related education.

A mini-CIM is roughly 2/3rds as powerful as a CIM. They can be used interchangeably - you can swap a CIM for a mini-CIM even in a gearbox that has other CIMs or mini-CIMs in it, and it will work, just with reduced or increased power.

Computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) uses computer software to control machine tools and related machinery in the manufacturing process. Computer integrated manufacturing (CIM) integrates all aspects of manufacturing, including planning, management, and storage.

MIM and CIM are very cost-effective fabrication processes to make large volumes of small parts, particularly those having complex geometries. The processes employ fine powders of metal (MIM) or ceramic (CIM) that are first mixed with a binder and then injected into molds that shape and solidify the parts.

The course is net downhill and is relatively fast but it is rolling hills and there are also a lot of uphills. The hills get a bit annoying but for every uphill there is a longer downhill.

There are three CIM assessment deadlines in a year and you can begin your studies at any time. Each of the modules can be completed in a 3 - 6 month period, with the entire qualification taking from 9 - 18 months. Guided learning hours for each module are 200 hours TQT (Total Qualification Time) including assessment.

A CIM qualification can take from 3 to 12 months to do. The time it takes to complete a Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) qualification depends on the level and type of qualification you choose, as well as your own pace of study.
