Here Is Where to Watch ‘Hell’s Paradise' (2024)

Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku, sometimes referred to as simply Hell’s Paradise, is a manga series that was created by Yūji Kaku. The series was released in English in North America thanks to a license from VIZ Media. It is set in the Edo era of Japan and centers on the pursuit of immortality by the assassin Asaemon Sagiri and ninja Gabimaru. The first episode of the MAPPA-produced anime series premiered globally on April 1, 2023. In this article, we will tell you where you can watch the Hell’s Paradise anime online.

Aside from Japanese television, the only place where you can currently watch Hell’s Paradise is Crunchyroll. No other major streaming service has the series at this moment, and knowing how Crunchyroll holds on to its assets, this is unlikely to change. As for Crunchyroll, the service currently offers its subscribers both the subbed and the dubbed version of the series.

Hell’s Paradise is quickly becoming a global phenomenon. Although the first season has only recently premiered, it has gained much attention. It has become a talking point among the otaku communities worldwide, being labeled as the spring season’s unexpected hit. This article will guide you to watch Hell’s Paradise online.

Where to watch Hell’s Paradise?

As of April 2023, Hell’s Paradise is only available in a limited number of places or, more precisely, on just one streaming service – Crunchyroll. Crunchyroll will offer the full show with English and other subtitles as the episodes come out in Japan (simulcast) and the dubbed version. Although Crunchyroll is now a fully-paid subscription service, it will allow users to stream the first three episodes of Hell’s Paradise for free, after which you’ll have to buy a subscription.

Sadly, the anime is unavailable for streaming on any other platform unless you’re In some specific parts of the world. This might change in the future, but as things stand now, there’s only one place where you can find Hell’s Paradise online.

Is Hell’s Paradise available on Netflix?

Hell’s Paradise is actually not available on Netflix, regardless of where you are in the world. Hell’s Paradise, neither in dubbed nor in subbed format, cannot be watched on Netflix; this shouldn’t come as a surprise since it mostly streams its own anime series and rarely streams those other streaming services have already licensed.

It might be a little disappointing that a leading network like Netflix didn’t make all of the episodes of Hell’s Paradise available for streaming, but we assume that it has to do something with the licensing and distribution rights, although we cannot be sure that that is the actual reason. But all of that does not matter since Hell’s Paradise is not available on Netflix, regardless of where you are. If you want to watch the show, you must look elsewhere.

Is Hell’s Paradise available on Crunchyroll?

All episodes of the Hell’s Paradise anime series will be available for streaming on Crunchyroll with English subtitles and in dubbed format. Crunchyroll currently has all of the episodes that have aired as of the time of writing this article and is going to air the remaining episodes on a weekly basis. The dubbed version of the show premiered a while ago on the platform as well, and will also be updated regularly.

So, if you want to watch all of the Hell’s Paradise anime episodes, Crunchyroll is your best option if you ask us.

Is Hell’s Paradise available on Disney+?

Disney+ does not offer any Hell’s Paradise content. This should not come as a big surprise, but we do have to state that Disney+ has been increasing its anime library in recent months, even acquiring such major hits as Bleach and Heavenly Delusion, but it is still not a major player in the anime market.

However, if you prefer Western animation and maybe some other anime series (although the offer is quite limited), Disney+ has a more than great library full of amazing animated content that will satisfy all your needs.

Is Hell’s Paradise available on Funimation?

Hell’s Paradise is not available on Funimation either. The best dubbed-anime source in the US doesn’t offer this series to its subscribers, which is a bit surprising, but Funimation has stopped being a major player after being acquired by Crunchyroll.

One major issue with Funimation, in general, is that it is not available worldwide, so even if you could stream the complete Hell’s Paradise series, you’d only be able to access it from a limited number of countries. Luckily, these problems don’t apply to this show.

Is Hell’s Paradise available on Hulu?

At this moment, Hell’s Paradise is not available for streaming on Hulu, neither the subbed nor the dubbed version of the show. Hulu is not one of the major players in the world of streaming, but nonetheless, it has a solid anime library, which is why it’s a bummer that Hell’s Paradise is not in it.

Hulu is a streaming service that primarily offers live-action shows and movies, but, as we have said, there’s also a lot of anime, although Hell’s Paradise is, unfortunately, not among the anime in Hulu’s library. Another big issue is that Hulu is not available around the world, so there are certain restrictions if you don’t live in the United States.

As you can see, Hulu is not a good place to look for Hell’s Paradise, as it doesn’t have it in its library, but it wouldn’t be your best pick even if it had it since the location restrictions on Hulu are large, and if you’re a non-US fan, you’d have a lot of trouble with Hulu.

Is Hell’s Paradise available on HBO Max?

Hell’s Paradise cannot be streamed on HBO Max, either. Namely, the streaming service simply doesn’t have the show among its titles, so if you’re a subscriber and have been looking to see the show, we don’t have any good news for you. HBO Max does have some anime series you can enjoy, but Hell’s Paradise is not on it.

But, if you actually do have a free trial or an ongoing subscription to HBO Max, you can also watch other great anime shows, some of which are true classics that need to be watched regardless of whether you’re a fan or not. Luckily, HBO Max has a truly great anime library, so fans will definitely find something for themselves if they want to explore other shows aside from Hell’s Paradise. Some other great anime on HBO Max include Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Death Note, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Re:ZERO.

Is Hell’s Paradise available on Amazon Prime?

Hell’s Paradise still isn’t available for streaming on Amazon Prime. This is relatively strange as Amazon Prime has a solid slate of anime on its service, butit seems that Hell’s Paradise isn’t on it at this moment. This, sadly, also includes Amazon’s non-Prime pay-per-view library, which means that you cannot rent or buy the individual Hell’s Paradise episodes as well.

As we have said above, what surprised us the most is that Amazon doesn’t even offer anime episodes for purchase, as it does with a lot of other shows via its pay-per-view model (for example, One Piece or Black Clover). Such series cannot be streamed, but you can buy each episode individually and then own them, so you can watch them anytime you want.

One advantage of the rent or buy option on Amazon is the lack of restriction, either in time or location. Anywhere in the world, you can buy any available season or episode of a show, which is a good thing since some streaming services don’t offer their full slate for all countries. Once rented, you have limited time to watch each episode for the same price, whereas with a purchased copy, you have unlimited time.

But, sadly, none of this applies to Hell’s Paradise, whether you’re an Amazon Prime member or not.
